HARDSCAPE & CONSTRUCTION
By now, your plans have been approved, permits have been secured, and the Premier Custom Landscape & Construction Team is ready to make your dream come true. The excavating process begins for your construction project. First, we spray paint the outline of your patio and structures. Next, using transits, engineering equipment and excavation equipment, we will begin the excavation for your patio, piers and outdoor living structure. Once we have the patio grades shot, we will reroute all drainage and run any underground utilities needed for your project. Finally, we are ready to pour your patio and begin the next phase of your project.
STONEWORK & MASONRY SERVICES
This is the point where your project really starts to take shape. The Premier Custom Landscape & Construction Stonemasons will begin building your fireplace, fire pit, outdoor kitchen, seat walls, columns and any other stonework that pertains to your project. This phase could take several weeks depending on the scope of work. The masonry work performed by the Premier Custom Landscape & Construction staff is second to none, and the masonry phase is where many projects truly begin to come to life. At this point we may be able to enhance the overall project by making changes according to how the stone masonry is taking shape. Such changes often require no additional costs, so please feel free to talk to our staff and ask questions if you have any ideas or would like to inquire about making changes to the project.
GRADING & CLEAN UP
At this point we are ready to start cleaning things up and determining the final grades for your landscape. Once we have removed all trash and construction debris, we will bring in topsoil as needed in order to backfill, level out your property where needed, and create the final grades for your landscape.
IRRIGATION & DRAINAGE
With your Premier Custom Landscape & Construction project starting to take shape, the irrigation and drainage phase of the project is often one that is not valued as much as it should be. However, this phase is actually very important to the long-term health and success of your landscape. Our irrigation crews will come in and start modifying your sprinkler system to fit your new landscape. We may be installing drip irrigation to pots, adding bubblers to your new trees or adding pop up heads to your beds and lawn – whatever your unique landscape needs. We take into consideration the best possible way to minimize the waste of water, and are also putting the final touches on your drainage system at this time. At this point of the project we will also have our lighting crews come in and start running the wire for your landscape lighting.
LANDSCAPE INSTALLATION & LIGHTING
This part of the project is what most people truly enjoy watching. The Premier Custom Landscape & Construction crews will excavate some of the existing soil and add rich landscape mix to your beds. At this point we begin installing your large and ornamental trees. The next step is where we plant your shrubs, perennials and groundcovers. Once everything is planted our lighting crews will install your custom landscape lighting package and adjust them to best showcase your beautiful new landscape. Once the lighting is installed, your beds will be top dressed with mulch to aesthetically complete the beauty of the project.
FINAL DETAILS
Now that the project is about 90% completed, the final details will be added. This part of the project is where many other landscape companies fail to finish the job properly – and thus fail to meet their customer’s expectations. At Premier Custom Landscape & Construction we are focused on the final details of your landscape project – planting the seasonal color, installing the light fixtures for your landscape lighting, checking the sprinkler system one last time and thoroughly cleaning up your property to leave it looking even better than when we started.
FINAL WALK THROUGH
By now you are starting to plan the arrangement of your patio furniture and dreaming of summer nights outside with your outdoor living area and landscape. Your Premier Custom Landscape & Construction Consultant will walk you through the entire project. At this point we can also provide you with a proposal to maintain and protect your investment. POOL CONSTRUCTION PROCESS
THE DIG
By now, your plans have been approved, permits have been secured and the Premier Custom Landscape & Construction team is ready to make your dream come true. The excavating process begins and the accessibility to your pool location for our equipment will determine the amount of time needed to complete the excavation, usually one to three days. First, the outline of your pool is formed. Next, using transits and engineering equipment, large dirt-removing equipment will begin the dig, conforming to depths specified in your plan. Finally, crews will hand shape the pool form to exact dimensions. Crushed rock is used in certain locations to help with the effects of vertical rise in the soil.
PLUMBING
Regardless of sanitation type, the quality of water chemistry depends on proper movement of water. Premier Custom Landscape & Construction designs the suction and return elements on every pool. All plumbing lines penetrating the shell are equipped with water-stop fittings to prevent leaking. Our plumbing lines are installed side-by-side to avoid future plumbing breaks due to ground movement. Expect to use an area approximately 4′ x 8′ for your pool equipment and an additional 4′ in length if adding a spa or heater.
STEEL
Premier Custom Landscape & Construction will custom design your pool steel structure to coincide with the ground conditions evident in your area. Steel size, steel spacing and box beam design are customized and designed for your pool based on specific soil composition.
POOL SHELL
Whether it is a bigger, standard box beam, bigger standard skimmer boxes, or the removing of rebound, each Premier Custom Landscape & Construction Pool shell is built with quality components unique to our industry. Your Premier Custom Landscape & Construction custom-built pool will be the best our industry has to offer. Red Valley builds every pool with #3 and or #4 rebar.
ELECTRIC & GAS
Our master electricians and plumbers oversee all Premier Custom Landscape work. With safety-critical phases such as electrical and gas line work, Premier Custom Landscape & Construction uses only master electricians and plumbers that physically perform and inspect the work.
TILE/COPING/WATER FEATURES
With a huge selection of tiles and copings, your choices aren’t limited by any means. Whether we are building elaborate waterfalls, retaining walls or other masonry services, the masonry work performed by Premier Custom Landscape & Construction staff is second to none. This phase of construction will start to transform your pool shell into a customized work of backyard art.
DECKING
Whether it is a standard deck such as salt rock finish or hand seeded aggregate, or an upgraded deck such as pavers, stamp concrete, or a natural flagstone patio, Premier Custom sets the quality standard for all products. We offer an array of color choices and use only the best-manufactured colors and sealers. Our deck crews perform the highest quality deck and drainage work in the business. Whether it is independently plumbed downspout systems, or independently plumbed decking and planter drain systems, at Premier Custom Landscape & Landscape we pay more attention to drainage than anyone in our industry.
OUTDOOR LIVING
This phase encompasses the construction of outdoor living features. Some of the most popular requests are for outdoor kitchens, complete with grill, refrigerator, warming drawers, sinks and storage. Many outdoor living spaces also feature fire elements such as a fireplace, fire pit and heaters, as well as seating areas and audio/video components. One of our primary goals is to “bring the indoors outside” to create the complete outdoor experience. By creating structures that accommodate the way you live your life, your backyard can be enjoyed and utilized 365 days a year. With the addition of patio covers, cabanas, arbors and fireplaces, not only will you add to the enjoyment of your backyard, but also bring increased value to your home. The complexity of your project will determine the amount of time needed to complete this phase.
POOL SURFACE
At this stage, the anticipation is very high! Your pool project is almost complete. Whether it is a standard white finish, upgraded quartz additive or premium blend of Durazzo or Diamond Brite products, Premier Custom Landscape & Construction only uses premium top-quality products or applicators. In fact, by using only the SGM line of alternative interior finish products, your pool will be completed entirely by licensed applicators and be protected by the most recognized interior finish manufacturer in the world today.
FILLING & START UP
The kids are probably ready to jump in by now! A little patience will be needed as our Premier Custom Landscape staff starts up all the equipment and starts to balance the water. At this point we are putting the final touches on your pool, including labeling the pipes, cleaning and vacuuming the interior.
ON SITE TRAINING
Whether we are explaining how the water flows or educating you on pool maintenance and water chemistry, your Premier Custom Landscape Consultant will take the time to teach you and your family about the operation of your new pool. Your investment in a new pool is substantial, so we take care to show you how to protect that investment.
